I finally finished the sweater!
Well, sewing the buttons on anyways. I finished it way back in August, and forgot about it completely until I was looking through my Fitted Knits Book. It's the Short-Sleeved Cardigan from Stefanie Japel, using Cascade 128 in a tweed eggplant. It's a tad bit small, because I did the yarn-overs in the wrong direction, and so the holes at the arm seams aren't as big. Other than that, I like the sweater. The buttons were pretty pricey, but they were bought at a charity thing, and they are gorgeous.
In other news, I made $127 in a week, with more coming from all of the stuff I've been knitting for people at college. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of anything. I'm thinking about going around and photographing them, but that would be a lot of work.
I even sold my Newsboy Hat! Someone requested one, So I sewed the brim and sent it off.
I love the color so much I could vomit.
Halloween weekend was rather fun.
At first I was a seven year old,
...but then I remembered the 'slut rule' and became Polly Pocket.
Downtown was completely insane, as haloweens usually are in college towns.
I'm itching for a new sweater, and I have four skeins of cascade 220 in a light blue. Any ideas? I'm contemplating the puffed sleeve cardigan in Fitted Knits, but I am not sure.
peace.

TICKETS SUCK
My weekend as follows:
Josh time.
On the way to see:
I got this:
(the ticket, not the bunny. I finished the bunny. I got a ticket for going 13 over the speed limit. )
Then I wore the sweater out to a movie with Josh. We saw The Darjeeling Limited, because I happen to think that Adrien Brody is the sexiest man ever to walk the earth. The movie was equally amazing.
Then, I came up with a brilliant plan to make the $125 to pay for my ticket.
KNITTING!
If I sell 12 hats at $10 a piece, I'll be able to pay for it! So far, in the past 30 or so hours, I've made 6 hats and three scarves. GOOD THING THE COPS CAN'T PUT SPEEDOMETERS ON MY HANDS!!!!
I've made thirty dollars so far, and have 6 custom orders brewing. We shall see what happens....
Oh and my friend Isaac wouldn't buy this beautiful hat.
idiot.

SWEATER DONE!!!
So I finally got around to weaving in all the ends of the sweater, and blocking it too!
I LOVE IT!!!
I love the square neckline.
As for the pattern, I just made it up as I went along, in the basic top down raglan form. I used lambs pride and US #8's. I may ave used #7's for the sleeves though. The neck, hem and sleeve ends are all in garter stitch. I attempted some short rows for the bust, but i think they look a tad bit silly.
For my first attempt at designing a sweater, I think it turned out nicely.
Comments? Feedback??

Grafiti CRAZY!
The other day, we struck KSU again!
Tiffany, sewing her piece to a pole outside the art building.
We've taken to sewing dismembered babies to the pieces, so people can wonder if we're trying to make a political statement or not.
In other news, I finished a few more holiday gifts.
A crochet ripple stitch scarf for a friend,
and a hat for my boyfriend!!!
(modeled by Dan)
I'm almost done wit holiday knitting- it's exciting!

Jess Hutch Bunny!
I finished this little bunny today. I used #7's and lambs pride. It didn't take much, i just used leftovers from the dreaded sweater. (I can't bring myself to weave all the ends in..... motivate me? Ha, yeah right.)
chilling with all of the other knit/crochet/fleece creations in my room. Hannah made the adorable pink pillow guy.
I should be studying..
...and I was about 40 seconds ago. I just need a little break.
A few days ago was the Habitat for Humanity Sleep Out, to maximize homeless awareness.
A few of my friends and I spent about two hours building the perfect house of boxes. It could have easily slept 5 people.
It was amazing.
But then at 3am, while I was sleeping two drunk guys ran through our house, trampling it into the ground.
Mostly, I was disoriented due to being woken up, but Tiffany was angry and ran after the guys. I gathered up all of my blankets and went back to my dorm. I felt sort of guilty abandoning the fort like that, but I couldn't take it. I know the exercise was to get a feel for homeless life, so going back to my bed seemed wrong, because obviously homeless people can't do the same. But seriously, who the hell is drunk? It was a Tuesday night! Fuck college.
Last weekend, a yarn store near my house was having a closing sale. All yarn was 40 percent off, and magazines were only a dollar. Normally, I avoided shopping there because they mostly carried fancy stuff that was usually about 50 dollars or more a skein. A lot of times they had cascade 220 for 5 dollars. I don't know where I will get my cascade fix from now on.
In fact, when I got there, only two colors of cascade were in stock. Thankfully, they went together nicely, and I'm currently using it for a pair of socks for my dad. I also bought 2 skeins of that nice ruffle yarn that I've been dying to use for a while now. On top of that, I bought a skein of veregated Plymouth Encore Worsted, and a few issues of Knit1, Knitscene and Interweave Knits. I'm pretty sure I have every issue of Knit1 ever now.
Also, I finished another Knitty Forecast, using some kind of bulky wool from my stash.
it came out rather small, so I might give it to a cousin of mine whose six. Yes, it's that small.
Blah Blah Blah...
